Private parent coaching

Six sessions. Ten weeks. Stop improvising. Start leading.

For parents who are done outsourcing their authority to parenting scripts, endless negotiations and the fear of getting it wrong.

Three short questions. If what you share looks like a good fit, the next step is a private conversation.

Who this is for

Parents who are loving, capable... and exhausted.

This work is for parents who are deeply invested in their children, but tired of every boundary turning into a discussion.

It is for parents who have read, listened, adapted, softened, explained and tried to do it all “right”, only to find themselves less steady than before.

You may not need to try harder.

You may not need another parenting method.

You may simply need to lead your family again. With clarity. And confidence.

This is for you if:

A different kind of support

Not therapy. Not scripts. Not another parenting philosophy to memorise.

Private coaching with me is not about analysing your childhood.

It is not about handing you a list of phrases to repeat while your child continues to run the house.

And it is not about making family life revolve even more carefully around the child.

It is individual work for parents who want to see the situation clearly, make better decisions, and lead their family with confident authority.

What we work on

The problem is rarely the bath, the screen, the bedtime or the tantrum.

Those are just the moments where the real problem shows itself.

In private coaching, you bring the situation that keeps repeating in your home. I help you understand what is underneath, what role you are playing, and what needs to shift.

This is not generic advice. It is precise work around your family, your child, your patterns, and where your authority went

01

First conversation

A private conversation to understand what is happening, what you want to change, and whether this work is the right fit.

02

Six private sessions

Six 1:1 sessions over ten weeks, focused on your family, your questions and the patterns that need to shift.

03

Email support between sessions

Space to ask questions, reflect, and stay supported while you apply the work at home.

04

Clearer leadership at home

The aim is not perfection. The aim is for you to become steady, clear and able to lead.

The coaching structure

A focused private engagement over ten weeks.

Private coaching is structured enough to create momentum, but personal enough to stay close to the reality of your home.

You are not joining a program. You are entering a private coaching relationship built around the situations you actually need help with.

The first step is intentionally simple: three short questions, then a private conversation if the fit is right.

Why this works

When the parent becomes clearer, the family becomes calmer.

Children do not become steadier because adults explain more.
They become steadier when the adults around them know where they stand.

My work helps parents stop performing, stop outsourcing authority to methods, and stop asking children to carry decisions they are not meant to carry.

The change begins with the parent.

And that is good news. It means there is something you can do.

“Katrin brought that change, fast! After just two weeks our family started feeling completely different and we now look back with amazement at how far we have come.”

The shift

From loving but paralysed to confident and in charge.

Before:

You explain everything and still feel ignored.

You feel guilty every time you hold a boundary.

You avoid conflict until you eventually explode.

You know what to do. You just can't make yourself do it.

You feel as if one child’s mood sets the tone for the family.

After:

You know what is yours to decide.

You can hold a boundary without turning it into a debate.

You stop confusing firmness with cruelty.

You trust your own judgement again.

Your children feel the relief of being led by a steady adult.

Coaching does not promise a perfect family. It helps restore the adult role, which is where stability begins.

Why Katrin

Shaped by psychology, motherhood, and 25 years of family life.

I am a mother of six who has lived and raised a family across four European countries. Trained in health psychology, ICF accredited, with executive education at Harvard Medical School, my work is shaped by academic thinking, tested in real life.

I help parents lead better, not perform better.

“We have been working with her for over a year – we are on our second ‘maintenance package’, and I joke that I want her by my side until the kids are off to college. Katrin is a gem!”

A real investment

This is for parents who want real change, not another quick fix.

Private coaching is for parents who know that family life cannot continue in the same pattern, and who are ready to look clearly at what needs to change.

The first step is a short form and, if it looks like a good fit, a private first conversation with me.

The form takes around two minutes. It helps both of us understand whether private coaching is the right next step.

Questions parents often ask

Before you request a conversation

Is this therapy?

No. Private coaching is not therapy. The work is focused on your role as a parent, the patterns happening in your home, and the practical shifts needed to bring more stability and direction into family life.

No. Many parents who seek coaching are capable, loving and functioning well from the outside. The problem is often quieter: exhaustion, unclear boundaries, constant negotiation, and the feeling that family life has started to revolve too much around the child.

No. I work exclusively online. This makes sense as I work with clients internationally, and it allows us to find a schedule that works for you.

The Poised Parent is structured as six sessions over ten to twelve weeks. The spacing is intentional, and adapted to fit your schedule.

Yes. I keep absolute confidentiality, except in situations involving a risk to safety.

No. I work internationally and many of my clients are ambitious, English-speaking parents who feel overwhelmed by modern parenting culture and want a calmer, more grounded approach.

Then I will say so. Private coaching should feel like the right fit on both sides. If another kind of support would be more appropriate, I will not push you into working together.

Coaching is structured around one parent, but bringing the other parent on board matters to me. I encourage at least one joint session together, and at times it can also be useful to meet with each parent individually.

Yes. I work with families from all walks of life, including nontraditional family structures. What matters in our work together is not what your family looks like, but how it functions.

Answer three short questions.

These questions help me understand your situation before a first conversation.

They are intentionally simple. The point is not to impress. The point is to begin clearly.

Curious what parent coaching could do for you?

    Three question. No commitment.

What are you hoping to get from coaching?

If we decide to work together after the call, this is private 10-week coaching.
The investment is $3,500. Payment options are available. Which option best reflects where you are right now? (This is about the program, not the call. The call is free.) *

In 1-2 sentences: what's the biggest parenting challenge you're facing right now? *

    Thanks for being upfront.

Private coaching isn't the right fit for everyone - or for every moment. If things shift, you know where to find me.

    In the meantime,
I share ideas weekly in my newsletter if you'd like to stay connected.
